This is a website created to provide easy access to the current projects of the MEMP Development Committee.

If you are looking for information on Duke University's Master of Engineering Management Program, please go to http://memp.pratt.duke.edu/.

What is MEMPDC?

The MEMPDC was founded as a student-led, student-run group of highly motivated MEM students committed to the development of the MEM Program at Duke University. Its primary purpose is to "leave the program better than when we came" by capturing student needs, making changes to meet student and program needs, promoting the program to various entities, preparing students for future careers, and empowering students to better the program.

Recruiting Information - Fall 2008

Inorder to apply, please send your Resume and Cover Letter (CL) to :
DukeMEMPDC@gmail.com. The deadline for applications is the 29th of August, 2008. The shortlisted applicants will then be interviewed and we expect the PDC to meet in its full capacity on the 5th of September 2008.

You can apply in 2 ways :
a) Application for a particular committee
Your CL needs to answer the following questions :
"How do your leadership experiences fit in with your desire to join the said committee ? "
“Why do you want to join the said committee ?”
“What are your expectations from this committee?”
“Any potential projects this committee can take up during fall (other than the ones mentioned in the presentation)”

b)General Application
You may not have a strong preference for any particular committee but have an inclination to serve in the PDC. You will have to answer the questions mentioned above but from a PDC point of view.

We don’t want a formal CL (the kind that you use for career applications) . If you can answer these questions, it would be enough. Also, even if your resume hasn’t been reworked upon/reviewed , its OK to use it for application. But it should be professional enough to be used for application.

Are we missing something?

We are always open to new ideas for programs, events, and activities.  If you have a great idea about something that we do not currently do, feel free to submit it to DukeMEMPDC@gmail.com
